Comfortable Elbow Contracture Treatment

Lightweight, soft, and comfortable, the SoftPro® Static II Elbow is designed to maintain range of motion or provide progressive extension therapy. It effectively facilitates the maintenance and rehabilitation of the elbow, addressing joint stiffness or non-fixed adaptive tissue shortening contractures. Ideal for static positioning therapy, it is particularly beneficial for mild to moderate (<90°) elbow flexion contractures.

Gradual Stretch for Contracture Therapy

This double-upright static brace features a single setting that can be used to maintain the end range or gradually restore range of motion through progressive extension stretching with regular brace adjustments. The hinge allows for setting 5° to 10° of additional extension beyond the passive end range, applying a gentle stretch to shortened tissues. The adjustable strapping system enables the fitter to initiate the gradual stretch as the elbow cap is applied, gently extending the shortened tissue for therapeutic benefit.

Features and Benefits:

Increasing wear time to three to six hours per session helps achieve the Total End Range Time (TERT), allowing the shortened tissue to gradually lengthen. The hinges must be adjusted frequently to maintain the therapeutic stretch as the device is worn.
