Cramer Rapid Form Vacuum Splints
Cramer Rapid Form Vacuum Splints are patented immobilizer splints that stabilize fractures and dislocations without circumferential pressure. Designed to mold to the shape of the injured extremity, the immobilization splints can be used for emergency medical transportation and sports related injuries. Ideally it is used to transport patients without the risk of further damage, eliminating the use of traditional fixation splints.
Splint Alternative Immobilizes Injuries
The splint casting alternative is ideal for the complete immobilization of orthopedic injuries including leg fractures, dislocated shoulders, knee injuries, wrist fractures, and hip stabilization. Splints generally help prevent motion of broken bones, minimize further damage to muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. The vacuum splints do not apply external pressure to the injured extremity.
Features Easy to Use Hand-Held Pump
Cramer Rapid Form Vacuum Splints are made to fit the patient, instead of manipulating the patient to fit the splint. Inside, styrofoam beads form a solid mass, making it rigid. Once secured around the injury, a pump extracts the air. The hand-held pump creates a vacuum in the splint and conforms to any shape in seconds. With the strap around the injured area, the included pump removes the air, and beads within the strap form a solid barrier to immobilize the area.
