Skil-Care Safeside Fall Mat cushions the impact of accidental falls with shock absorption bonded foam. Providing comfort to the user, place the fall mat on the floor adjacent to the bed, aligning it alongside the bed. The dense bonded foam won’t bottom-out when stepped on, providing safer footing for users. The slide resistant bottom keeps the mat stable on the floor and the non-skid surface prevents the user or caregiver from sliding.
Tapered Edges Allow for Wheelchair Access
In addition to fall prevention, the Safeside Fall Mat is designed with step-on stability to reduce stumbling. The tapered edges also help prevent accidental tripping as individuals walk across it. Skil-Care created their mats with a beveled perimeter to allow for easier wheelchair access. The bedside mats are available in two sizes, 1” x 36” x 68” and 1” x 24” x 68”.
Protective Cover Helps Reduce Moisture and Bacteria
Since the floor contains significant exposure to bacteria, it is strongly recommended that the folding mat be stored properly when not in use. Featuring a strap, the mat can be secured to the footboard. The mat is also bi-fold making it easier for storage and transport.
