Hyper Extension (HXR) Rehabilitator® dual-hinged orthotic therapy effectively controls genu recurvatum and hyperextension of the knee joint. An adjustable pneumatic air bladder, strategically placed behind the knee, inflates to prevent the knee joint from moving backward during gait. The "rebound" effect of the air bladder promotes an improved gait by encouraging knee flexion after full extension.
