The Combi Caregiver-Operated
Handicare's Combi chairs series is a range of high quality commode/shower chairs for all users and caregivers. The first model is the Combi Caregiver-Operated. Designed for individuals with limited leg function, low stamina or reduced balance who require assistance during transfers. The chair is adjustable providing a safe experience during daily routine activities. The chair is available in three versions: Standard, Low, and Wide. Standard is suitable for most patients with a seat height measuring 17.9 in – 21.5 in (455 mm – 545 mm) and maximum user weight of 330lbs. Low has a seat height measuring 19.9 in – 24.8 in (505 mm – 630 mm) whereas Wide accommodates heavier users with a larger frame and increased maximum user weight of 440lbs.
The Combi-User Operated (Self-Propelled)
The second model, Combi User-Operated (Self-Propelled) assists semi-independent individuals with limited leg function or reduced balance. The self-propelled chair is also suitable for wheelchair users with use of their upper body. The Combi User-Operated is available in two versions, Standard and Wide. Standard is suitable for most patients with a seat height measuring 27.6 in (70 cm) wide. Wide is designed with a larger frame that allows more space in the chair. Chair is constructed with a seat height of 31.5 in (80 cm) wide.
The Combi-Tilt
The third and final Handicare model is the Combi Tilt. This chair is specifically designed for assisting individuals in their daily hygiene activities. These activities include dental care, eye care and showering. For individuals with limited leg function, low stamina or reduced balance, the Combi Tilt is available in a manual or powered tilt mode. The Manual Tilt is activated by a hand lever at the rear of the chair. The caregiver stands either at the rear or at the side of the chair while in tilt function. The Powered Tilt is activated using a handheld control connected to the motor. In tilt function, the caregiver is able to move around the chair, assisting the individual as needed.
