The base is soft and comfortable, and works to provide faster healing. The waterproof film layer is over the foam pad to prevent leakage, drying out, and contamination. The bandages provide controlled compression. The AFD is non-adherent to the wound bed, and protects delicate granulation tissues, all the while avoiding trauma during dressing changes.
